1. SOAPSTone Analysis
- Find a nonfiction passage of at least three paragraphs — an editorial, speech excerpt, or essay.
- Complete a SOAPSTone chart: for each element write one to three sentences.
- Write a final paragraph explaining how one element most strongly shaped the text's choices.
- Include the passage or a full citation.
